study conducted by The Micro-business Research Institute revealed some

- They make up about 75% of all employer based businesses
- They employ 11% of the working population
- Their main source of financing is personal savings and credit cards
- The major predictor of firm failure is credit card debt mismanagement
- They're the only group that shows a consistent employment growth rate
Our own research indicates that a weak to non-existent marketing and sales program has an even greater impact on the success or failure of their business. After review, we find that most are only operating at 27% to 34% of their income potential.
